Since 1990, Tom has been living and working in Sonoma County in Northern California.

The rugged coastal scenery, pastoral rolling hills and ancient redwoods provide an ideal environment for his painting, as his primary motivation and subject matter is the natural world.

His deepest artistic passion is painting the ocean in oil.

He also also enjoys painting landscapes in oil and occasionally creates a large airbrush acrylic featuring only a wave. This focus on marine images stems in part from over 30 years of surfing and diving all over the world.
